**Job Title: Sheet Metal Operator - 2nd Shift**
**Job Description**
The Sheet Metal Operator is responsible for planning, laying out, fabricating, and repairing sheet metal parts and products. This role requires a keen attention to detail and precision in working with sheet metal materials.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate hydraulic press brakes and punches efficiently.
+ Read and interpret measurements accurately to 1/32nd inch using a tape measure.
+ Follow verbal instructions precisely.
+ Utilize hand tools effectively for various tasks.
+ Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces as needed.
+ Handle and operate machinery safely and efficiently.
+ Operate a forklift and other equipment to move or position materials as required.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in machine operation and use of hand tools.
+ Ability to accurately measure and work with metal materials.
+ Experience in manufacturing and assembly processes.
+ Strong mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers and common fractions.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Experience working in a factory setting.
+ Completion and passing of required forklift safety training within 60 days of employment.
+ Ability to follow written instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues.

**Work Environment**
This position is based in a manufacturing environment with working hours from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toe footwear to ensure safety and comfort.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, MD.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
