🏥 We're Hiring: LVN / LPN / Correctional Facility Nurse (State Contract Role) 🏥

We are seeking an experienced LVN / LPN / Correctional Facility Nurse (State Contract Role)  to
provide compassionate and professional nursing care at a state correctional facility.
This role offers a unique opportunity to serve a diverse patient population in a
secure environment, supporting both physical and mental health needs.

Location: Fairmont, WV
Duration: 28 weeks​

What You'll Do:
🩺 Deliver quality nursing care in accordance with CCHCS policies and within the LVN
scope of practice.
💊 Administer prescribed medications and perform basic nursing procedures.
📋 Monitor and document patient conditions; promptly report changes to the RN or primary care provider.
🚨 Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and self-care strategies.
🤝 Assist with minor medical procedures, specimen collection, and diagnostic testing.
🔒 Support mental health staff in treatment planning and patient monitoring.
🚨 Train patients in daily living activities and ensure thorough documentation for continuity
of care.

What We're Looking For:
✅ Minimum 12 months of direct patient care within the last 3 years (excluding
internships)
✅ Active California LVN license in good standing
✅ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross
(with AED)
✅ Completed competency validation per Title 22 requirements
✅ Compliance with N95/PAPR respiratory protection standards and
annual training
✅ Commitment to providing compassionate care
