Position Description
This role will have responsibility to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service. This position includes monitoring the equipment, products, and documentation both arriving and leaving the company's warehouse, and includes inventory control functions, adjustments, cycle counting and analysis of part usage. It may be required to receive material; process pack slips and coordinate sending this information to the main office. This position requires you to complete all these tasks quickly enough to meet a company's on-time delivery requirements.
Responsibilities
Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow, communication with arrival notices
Interact with business units in arranging international shipments, meeting customer services standards
Contribute to maintaining good relationships with freight forwarders
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into internal operational system and reporting
Responsible for monitoring each shipment to make sure that outgoing packages are packed correctly and accurately
Prepare and ship items to domestic and international customers in a timely manner, examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications
Responsible for tasks in inventory management and accurate inventory control, performing inventory counting and reporting
Provide daily customer service functions and communicates with the customer relative to inventory management
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as an inventory coordinator (handling material or product) or similar role.
Entry level knowledge of logistics.
Mastery of basic hand tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
