Job Description
Our client provides outsourced CFO and financial consulting services in the funds space and is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books and records for investment funds, including private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations of cash, positions, and valuations.
- Assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting.
- Support audit and tax processes by coordinating with external service providers.
- Collaborate with CFO consultants to deliver timely and accurate reporting to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
- 3–6 years of fund accounting experience
- Strong understanding of investment fund structures and GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with fund accounting systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
