Our work environment includes:
Assistant Cook
Duties:
- Assist in meal preparation, cook all side dishes, serve Home Delivery meals in compliance with portion control. Prepare main entree in the absence of the cook.
- Measure and package bulk food items to sed to other Sites.
- Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure consistency and quality of food
- Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food handling and storage practices are followed
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment after each use
- Assist with dishwashing and kitchen cleanup as needed
-Prepare salads, side dishes with recipes, make desserts and jello.
-Complete the ServSafe Manager Course within 30 days of hire and maintain the certificate
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills
